Mountain Trip: Roadside Pictures

"Its leaves were lovely, Its fruit abundant, And in it was food for all. The beasts of the field found shade under it, The birds of the heavens dwelt in its branches, And all flesh was fed from it."

Daniel 4:12

As we were driving through the mountains to get to our Inn, in a town near Lynchburg, we would stop frequently at Overlooks and just along the steep road to get some pictures of the beautiful Fall scenery!

Those pictures are below!

Wild Blueberries...

we think. Mommy tried some (and she didn't die!) and she said they were very sour and tasted like a blueberry. We weren't quite sure if they were blueberries though!

Orange and Green colored leaves!

And the picture isn't altered in any way (other than lighting) - that is the exact color!

A Huge wasp nest.

Daddy found this as we were driving along and it was HUGE!

Evergreen Needles.

This was taken by an overlook.

A tree growing out of the rock! :-O

Mountain Flowers

Don't jump!!!!

Ol' Reliable - not really.

An interesting array of red-leafed plants with some sort of bud.
