Answer

The answer to what my wonderful mamma, our cute cow, and our lovely aunt all have in common is............

THEY'RE ALL PREGNANT!

That's right; baby number 10 is in the making!  We can't wait for the new little one to join our family in early April of next year!  Mamma is around 8 weeks now and is bravely overcoming her morning sickness (which is really all day sickness) with a smile on her face.  She is one tough woman!  What a challenge to all of us to see her accept each new blessing (despite what happens to her) as a gift!  Hopefully that part of the pregnancy will be over in about 6 weeks so she can enjoy the fun part. :)

Oh and just for the record our cow is due in October and my aunt is due on Thanksgiving day! :)

For one excited family,
Hannah

"For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth."
Psalm 139:13-15

Follow up on Mom and Dad's Anniversary Present

Ok, So I said I'd post a video...but it's not working. :( Sorry.  Instead I took pictures of the answer! :) In order for Mom and Dad to find their gift we sent them on a wild goose chase! :)  Each time would end in a card with a clue to find the next card.  Here's an example from one of the cards:
Sorry the picture is blurry..I had to copy it since blogger is being bad. ;)
When they had found the last card it told them to sit down at the kitchen table for us to reveal the secret. On the back of each clue-card we wrote different words that would spell out their surprise gift. Read the cards below to find out what their BIG GIFT is!!!
YOU

Insulation and Drywall

 Since we are very busy right now, I'll explain what we did and let you add your own caption to all the pictures. :)  Back in July (you can tell I have a lot of catching up to do)  Paw-paw came over to do insulation (with us helping, of course).  His father's business (that him and his brothers now run) is W.W. Nash & Sons Co. so he does lots of professional painting, fire-proofing, insulation, etc. It's a blessing to have him around! :D Once the insulation was done (hot and sticky work), we moved on to our next major project!  Not in the same day of course..it was more like a few weeks later. :)  That was drywall!!  We have a friend from our old church that did some for us before so we got in touch with him to see if he could work for us.  It ended up working out to have his company do the work for us, so that was great!  It's always nice to be able to pay Christian friends!  Now that you know what happened I'll leave you to enjoy some pictures!! :)

 They were very efficient workers! They finished it all (hanging, mudding, sanding) in three days!
 Three happy workers! :)  Before this picture, I had tried to snap a picture without them seeing, but the man in the blue shirt saw me and said "Cheese!" :).  "Wait a minute! Do that again!" I said.  So he did- and I got the above picture! :)
The finished project! :) Ahh..now it looks like a room! :)

Sorry I didn't have any pictures of the installation of the insulation....this will have to do (Do you like my play on words? ;)!

I hope you're all having a blessed week!  This will be it for a little while....we leave for the OBX in two days!! :-D  Pray for nice sunny weather! :)

Joyfully His,
Alexis

Question:

What do these two ladies have in common (be nice now :)?
Hint: My Aunt Megan also has this in common.
Please leave a comment with your possible answer and we will reveal the true answer tomorrow!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Today is Scott Micheal Wassenberg's 43rd birthday!!  I'll do a post another time about what we are going to do/did.  I just thought you might want to know before his actual birthday "party" post (since that might be awhile ;).  So, if you're reading this, and you would like to, please leave a comment telling daddy "Happy Birthday!" and whatever else you want to say. : D  He's the best and we wouldn't trade him for the world! Here is a list of a few things we love about daddy:  He works HARD, He spends time with his family as a whole, He spends time with the individuals in his family one-on-one, He cooks eggcellent eggs, He leads our family, He is a strong man of God, He is a man of many visions, He is strong physically, He loves us, He does spur of the moment things (which is good and not-so-good at times ;), He is awesome...no, wait, beyond awesome...what word fits that? Oh, yeah BEAWESOME0!!!   And for those of you who have NO idea what I'm talking about...you seriously need to watch the movie Bolt !!

WE LOVE YOU PAPA-BEAR!!!

Love,
Your Fam.
