School Schedule, Coat Rack & Cubbies and an Entrapped Dog

"This was the schedule of their service for coming into the house of the LORD according to their ordinance by the hand of Aaron their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him."

1 Chronicles 24:19

Here are the two schedules that Mamma made - front and back. If you really want to see the detail, then just click on the picture and it will be enlarged and easier to read!

It all started, after Christmas, with the house cleaning. We have tons of coats (Daddy had around 6-8) and Mommy wanted better organization. So, she and Daddy designed (Daddy did most of it) our new coat rack and cubbies in our laundry room! To let you understand what it looks like and how it works, see the pictures below.

Daddy explaining how it works.

Trying it out.

Here you can see the way it works.

This is the top level. There's space for our canning jars on the top (and other items) and then cubbies for hats, gloves, personal belongings, etc. beneath that, with a rod attatched for whatever use Mamma can make up! (Clothes dryer, something to hang clothes on, etc.)

Beneath that is our Coat Hanger Central!

Then, about 2-3 feet below the coat hangers, there is a seat with wooden cubbies underneath for the "nice Sunday shoes!"

(We always have a race to see how can sit on this little green seat to put our shoes on, so Mamma wanted a seat for everybody, so we're not fighting over a little seat...or using the dryer as a place to get shoes on! :)

Everyone sitting on the bench!

And yes, Daddy (with help from smaller members of the family) made up the design and built it from scratch!

Thank you, Daddy!

I was doing something in the kitchen, and Daddy came in (a night or so ago) and said "Kimber, come take a picture of this," and then he explained what he wanted me to take a picture of...

Josiah and Eden had entrapped our dog, Carmel, with chairs!

Carmel comes in at night because we think he has some pain from the cold, associated with being hit by a car twice. So, we let him in at night when it's cold.

Another view!

I guess there are no limits to a child's brain! :)

(Oh, and Eden and Josiah were a little depressed that they had to remove their barricade!)

Just to let you know, I've added a few things to the sidebar of our blog.

For example, I added some of our favorite Bible verses, homeschool websites and resources for the Biblical Family that we like, etc.

So, feel free to check them out!

Willingly Jesus',
Kimber
