Judah's 7 Month Update

Judah turns 7 months old tomorrow!  Right now he's got a little fever, but he's smiling and bringing joy to all of us still!

His new favorite thing to do is blowing bubbles.  He makes quite the noise as he does it too! :)

You can see by the photo on the left that Judah is now lifting himself up!  He's getting close to crawling but he normally ends up falling flat on his face and crying in frustration! :)  It's so cute!

Such pretty blue eyes!  I love them!

Now you're updated on Judah's latest accomplishments!

Not much has been going around here.  Last weekend we spread around 28 yards of mulch around various areas of our property. The yard looks so pretty with the lush green grass and the copper-toned mulch!  Daddy does a great job at keeping the yard looking nice!

The gardens have been giving us bunches of kale and spinach.  I'm sure that the abundance of rain we've been getting lately has attributed to its growth! :)

On Monday, we planted our first rose plant!!  I'm so excited!  Mrs. Panchision, a friend from church, bought me a Climbing America and I can't wait for it to grow and produce lots of fragrant, salmon-pink roses! :) :)  We're going to buy another one to put near it so that they'll crawl up an arbor and look really pretty!

We've had two people ask about when our chicks will start laying, so I thought I should update you all!  Solid Rock Ranch Egg Factory's hens will be producing by late-August/mid-September.  We (especially the boys) are excited about this "new" adventure!

We are currently in the process of looking for a pasture-raised Jersey cow to milk.  If anyone you know raises Jersey's please let us know so that we can contact them!    :)

I think that's all I've got to share!
Go enjoy this beautiful Spring weather!!!

*Early* Resurrection Sunday at Grandpa and Grandma's

This year we celebrated Resurrection Sunday with my dad's family a few weeks before the actual Sunday!  This past Sunday we got all dressed up and, after church, we drove up to Northern VA.

Grandma met us outside with her usual big, warm hug and then we went and took our annual "Easter Photo."

Family pics by Grandma

When we got inside we gave everyone hugs and then waited for Papa John's pizza to make its grand appearance! :)

While we waited Lydia opened her birthday presents from Grandpa and Grandma:

Eventually the pizza arrived and we ate lunch!

After lunch we went outside, picked up our Easter basket and took another picture by our big, ol' van before going on the egg hunt! :)
All the "grandbabies."  There are 12 altogether!!  Photo Credit:  Grandma.

Grandpa and Grandma also got a picture with the youngest grand-baby:  Judah!

Then Grandpa's Annual Easter Egg Hunt was on! :)

Aren't Grandma's daffodils beautiful?  They worked great as places for Grandpa to hide the eggs!

Eden on the hunt!  Look at that full basket!

Caleb diligently searching.

Random photo of yellow flowers...can you tell I get distracted by anything with flowers?! :)

Amanda and Hannah playing with Judah.

Once all the eggs were gathered, we dumped all the goodies into specially-prepared Ziploc's! :)

It didn't take long before the goodies were "sampled." :)

The Lord gave us a beautiful day to celebrate His Resurrection!  We've had so many rainy, cold days lately so we really enjoyed the warmer weather on Sunday!

My cousins!  Left to right:  Diana, Stephen, and Amanda

[Stephen is the youngest in his family yet he's taller than both of his sisters.  Their whole family is tall compared to ours! :)]

Back inside we relaxed a little bit before going to get our Easter baskets on Grandpa and Grandma's steps.  The baskets contained even more goodies! :)
Credit for photo goes to Grandma!
The baskets were taken downstairs to the den, explored and then put in bags or eaten! :)

Aunt Amy, Uncle Greg, Mama, and Daddy with their baskets.  (Thanks, Grandma, for the photo!)

The last major event of the day was a search for some presents the E.B. (a.k.a. Easter Bunny or Grandpa) had hidden.  After running all over the house, up and down the stairs, we found the presents in a black trashbag in Grandma's dryer!

The boys got some guns that shoot Nerf darts (they think it's hilarious to shoot their sisters) and us girls got some necklaces with solid perfume inside.

After all the searches were over, we ate, played outside, talked and enjoyed being together as a family...celebrating Jesus' rising again! :)

"But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here....'"
