Kimber's 15th Birthday

Friday, December 3rd, after the Woman-to-Woman Cookie Fellowship at our church, Hannah and I went and spent the night at my Aunt Megan's house.  We had lots of fun with them (but I can't tell you what we did...it's a secret)!  Daddy picked Hannah and I up from Mae-Mae's house Saturday afternoon and, after stopping at Lowe's, we went home.  When we drove into the driveway a few of my siblings ran out to meet us (even though it was freezing outside).  They then had me walk on the sidewalk and through the front door.  They had strung streamers practically everywhere!  I felt so special! :)

Mama was just finishing up making the pizza for my dinner, and Josiah was helping out:

Alexis, Caleb, and Seth were my photographers! :)  They took so many pictures that night, so I've taken just a couple to show you!

A birthday isn't complete without some silly siblings...

...and skittles!!

(By the way, we did manage to finish the entire bag by the end of the night! ;)

Soon, the pizzas were ready and we sat down to eat!

Eating dinner!

Dinner was, as always, really, really yummy!!

After dinner, I really had no idea (still) of what I wanted to do for my birthday night, so I went ahead and opened presents.

I sat on our huge beanbag with Josiah and opened presents there!

I received so many sweet cards and presents...I'm very blessed!

I received junk food (Fritos, Oatmeal Creme Pies, Smarties, etc.), a balloon-thingy-ma-jig, clothes, and more! :)  The last present I opened required me to go on a search!  Daddy hid notes everywhere and he'd give me hints on where to go, until I figured out the present was outside - in the freezing cold. :)  So, out we all went...

Judah got wrapped up in  a blanket, to keep him warm!

Once I was outside, they played the "hot-cold" game on me until I figured out the present was in one of the cars.

Try walking on gravel, with no shoes, when it's freezing cold, and very dark.  To top it off, carry your 2 year old sibling with you!  Very difficult! :)

Bringing in the box!

I wasn't expecting to find what I found in the box:

A bareback saddle for a horse! :)

My photographers didn't get a full picture of the saddle but it's soft and fits any horse size...we're getting closer to getting a horse!!! :) :)

That is something to be excited about! :)

My little siblings were much more excited about the little peanuts that came with the saddle:

Don't worry...Mama made sure that they cleaned their own mess up! :)

After presents I decided to watch the movie Amazing Grace.  About half-way through the movie, we stopped and the candles were lighted on my cake!  I had chose one of our ice cream cakes as my dessert and it was really yummy!

Lexi and Daddy lighting the candles.

The song was sung, the candles were blown out and then we ate! :)

Enjoying... (thanks to Mr. Jon for this picture!)

After the movie, we saw that it was snowing outside!!!

It was the first snow of the year and it snowed the night before my real birthday!
  It was so neat!

Sunday, December 5th was my real birthday but it was fairly relaxed since we had celebrated the night before.
Thank you to my wonderful family for all they are and all they do for me!  I love you!
Kimber :)

P.S. - I've run out of verses to use for all of our birthdays.  (I don't want to keep repeating the same 3 verses that apply best. :)  So, I chose the below verse for this post because I'm so blessed and not one of the good things which God has spoken to me has failed!

“Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed."
Joshua 23:14

  1. CONGRATULATIONS KIMBER!!!! 15 years old. Wow. It's a little spooky. At least, it was for me when I turned 15. Suddenly, you feel much older. Where has time gone.
