Our Family Christmas - Christmas Eve

And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city."
Luke 2:1-3

Here's some pictures and a quick synopsis of our family Christmas! :)

We read the Gospel account of the birth of Jesus in Luke 2 before we did presents.

Mama and Daddy put our presents in "wisemen sacks."  It's always so exciting waking up and seeing the burlap bags in the nativity scene (or nearby!)

After reading we opened up one of the three wisemen bags and found the Settlers of Catan inside (along with other things).  It's a very fun game and we would highly suggest getting it! :)

Then we ran throughout the entire house (and outside once) finding notes that led us to where presents had been hid throughout the night.

Lydia got a baby carrier that attatches to a bike!

Seth got one of the beginning stages of a bagpipe!

Hannah, Alexis, and I (Kimber) got three big bikes.

(Now we can all go on a family bike ride - it's so much fun!)

Caleb got a new guitar!!

Eden and Josiah's gift was out on the trampoline so Lexi got it for them.

Opening it up.

A wagon!

After each person had got their individual gift on the treasure hunt we sat down and opened our bags that were in the 3rd wiseman sack.  (The treasure hunt note was in the 2nd)

Food does weird things to us...

...as I was saying...

Daddy's goodies.

Lydia snacking on someone's candy! :)

I'll make a slideshow of our Christmas with Mama's side of the family to finish off the belated posts on Christmas!

P.S.  I really wish I could expound upon our wonderful Christmas but I can't make the time...so sorry!

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's

-"And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger."

                                                    Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's!
(Sorry for this being so late)

Aunt Amy got chocolates!

Zoe, Amanda's pug.

Go redskins!

Amanda's "dream car".  You see, she had been begging grandma for a car for Christmas so my grandma got her a plastic one....I don't think that's what she wanted.  Anyways, it was hilarious!!

The den after all presents were opened! :)

The stockings.

Every year Aunt Amy and family make sugar cookies and then we decorate them.  It's become a family tradition!

Some of the finished cookies!

Playing Settlers of Catan:  a really fun game!!

Grandpa thoroughly enjoyed himself while we played. ;)

Christmas poinsettas!

Nash Family Pictures

And then shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.
Leviticus 25:41

Last year in November (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) we went and took family pictures at the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond, VA.  I had not posted the pictures yet since they were supposed to be a surprise for Na-naw and Paw-paw (my grandparents) at Christmas.  But now that Christmas is over I can share them with you!

Also - it may get a little confusing with all these people.  So, just keep in mind that all of these people are either my aunts, uncles, or cousins!

Left to right:  Sarah, Uncle Mike, Rachel, Aunt Stacey, and Kaitlyn

Aunt Stacey is the first child of Na-naw and Paw-paw.

Our family left to right:  Mama, Lydia, Eden, Kimber, Seth, Hannah, Caleb, Alexis, Daddy, and Josiah

Mama is the 2nd child.

Left to Right: Erika, Aunt Steph, Gracie, Claire, Uncle Matt, Allie

Aunt Steph is a twin with Aunt T.C. (I didn't get a picture of Aunt T.C.'s family)

Uncle Sean and his fiance, Amanda.  As you can tell they're a lot of fun!
Uncle Sean is the 5th child.

Oh, and they're getting married in November!

And soon-to-be Aunt Amanda's GORGEOUS ring!

Left to right: Aunt Megan, Justus, Cadence, Uncle Kevin

Aunt Megan is 6th.  We re-did their pictures later because of the sun spots.

All the sibilings and they're spouses (or soon-to-be spouses).  Sorry about the shadow! :-)

All the girl grandchildren.

All 19 of the grandchildren (although two more are expected later this year) ;)

All the boy grandchildren.
There seems to be a slight imbalance between girls and boys! ;-)

A whole family picture.

It was FREEZING when we did these pictures, so we rushed to take the pictures then ran back to the cars to get warm!  It was a fun memory though!
